DantaFanta is an English competitor who debuted in the first World Tag League. He is known to be seen on camera wearing costumes such as a Spyro onesie while giving commentary on occasion. Danta is a former Crassic Trios Champion as a member of Seethe Harbor alongside Daniel Davidson and DessertMonkeyJK. He is a record 4 time ISGP Exhibition Champion.

Team History

DantaFanta has participated as a member of the following teams:

See the team page(s) for more specific team info and statistics.

Participation in ISGP World Tag League

Danta first competed in the ISGP World Tag League and partnered up with Kolapro, under the name 'Speedy Soda with Lemon'.

Placed in Gorup B, the duo won their first race in a Spyro 1 ISGP bingo run against The Supreme Gents, MrGamesendy and Mowmowclub2. They unfortunately lost their second race in a Spyro 2 bingo run against YesLesbos1, YesWally1 and Noel McDavid. They were originally intended to race against Pump up the Jam, however the race did not occur. This race was ultimately unneeded to determine their placement, as they were eliminated from the tournament regardless due to their loss against YesLesbos1.

Tournament History

Participation in Spyro Speedruns Cup

He signed up to the Spyro Speedruns Cup, now officially going by the name Danta Fanta, which he had been previously using as just his Discord username.

He was supposed to race newcomer FrozenFrodo in his first race of the tournament, however FrozenFrodo was kicked from the tournament due to inactivity, so he raced Cyreides instead. The two raced in Spyro 3 to beat the Mushroom Speedway time trial, which Danta won, moving him to Round 2.

In Round 2, Danta raced LukeRF44 again, where they did a Spyro 1 race to get all gems in Artisans, all dragons in Peace Keepers and all eggs in Magic Crafters. Danta had clearly not learned his lesson about racing Luke in Spyro 1, and was eliminated from the tournament after his loss.

Participation in ISGP2

Danta joined ISGP2 when the tragedy that is known as 2020 happened. Grouped into Group D, many people, including himself, did not expect him to make it far.

In Round 1, his first race was against DessertmonkeyJK in a Spyro 1 race to beat all bosses 100% in reverse order, which he unfortunately lost. Neither competitor had practise for this race as it was an impromptu run done because both competitors were online and in the same call. He recovered from his defeat when he won against Cyreides in a Spyro 3 race to catch all Egg Thieves in Sunrise Spring and Midday Gardens, starting in the latter world. Despite wanting to do more Spyro 3 races, this was Danta's only Spyro 3 race this round.

Following this, Danta was eager to do more races and did most of his next races within the same week. He raced Skater6453 in a Spyro 2 race to pay all Moneybags in Summer Forest and Autumn Plains, followed soon by his race against Luminize in a Spyro 1 race to get 500 gems and 5 dragons in the first 3 worlds. He had continued his winning streak by barely defeating these two, however has stated that if he were to rematch either of them at a later point, he would be unsure if he could win.

His race against Ratchet5 was a complicated and surprising one. It was a Spryo 2 race to complete as many level objectives as possible in 30 mins; The objectives being: A) Get 300 gems, b) Get more than half of the orbs, c) Get the talisman, 1 orb and kill all enemies. It was a close run, as in a surprising twist, both competitors drew in points, but Danta took the victory due to having more gems on hand than Ratchet did. The original idea for this run was more chaotic, having also included the Headbashpocalypse, but it was scrapped for convenience sake.

Danta's winning streak was brought to an end by MuddyMaestro, in their Spyro 2 race to collect 1500 Gems without breaking any containers. Despite Muddy having a few time penalties at the end from breaking containers, Danta was unable to catch up. After a short break due to conflicting timezones with other competitors, he raced MeteoraGirl in a Spyro 1 race to rescue Lucas in Wizard Peak and complete Sunny Flight, where he was successful in achieving victory once more. His final race, against Stephaski27, was delayed due to Stephaski's absence from Discord, however they soon sorted out a goal and a time. The race was a Spyro 1 all levels cheat race to collect all Dragons in 1 Level in every homeworld (excluding the homeworld and the boss levels), which he achieved victory in. Finishing on 6 wins and 2 losses, Danta ultimately placed 2nd in the group, qualifying him for Round 2.

During Round 1, Danta had also appeared in the 2nd and 3rd episodes of the ISGP Cast as a guest. He also starred in an ISGP Talk.

In Round 2, Danta was placed in Group Tanahashi, where he competed in his first race of the round against Daniel Davidson in a Spyro 1 Prototype run to Dream Weavers to collect all gems and dragons available in the homeworld and levels. In this epic battle of the Dan's, Danta had a terrible time in both Dark Passage and Lofty Castle due to Prototype physics, which cost him the run. As per rules of the battle of Dan's, he lost the right to be called Dan, so ta then opted to go by the name Santa until he could reclaim it.

Santa's second race of the round was against Marcus Terry-Bedford in a Spyro 3 bingo to complete as many objectives in an hour, with only 30 minutes of prep time beforehand. Santa was victorious over MTB, and decided this proved him worthy of reclaiming the Dan name. Danta raced Liam tbh in what was originally the final race of the round, in a Spyro 2 race where the competitors race to get as many Skill Points as they can in 20 minutes, then collect 3 orbs for every Skill Point their opponent gets. Having collected 9 Skill points to Liam's 7, Danta only needed to collect 21 orbs while Liam needed 27. This naturally gave him the advantage, allowing him to win.

The round was not over yet, however, due to a tie in points between Danta, Dan and MTB. The three were forced to do a triple threat, which they decided to be a Spyro 2 Japanese Death Match, where they would collect as many orbs as they can in an hour, but the last place competitor would be eliminated at the 30 minute mark. Danta luckily made it through to part two of the run with 16 orbs along with Dan, however choked in Zephyr performing a minor skip, which caused him to end the run on 28 orbs, which was two orbs lower than he intended to collect. This cost him first place, and he made it through the Semi-Finals as the 2nd place competitor once more.

In Round 3, Danta raced TOTOzigemm in a Spyro 2 bingo run. The run was a close one with both competitors mostly tied on goals until the incident of Aquaria Towers, where King Flippy spoke to Danta which disabled the superflame, causing him to get sniped on the goals to get the Seaweed Skill Point and kill all enemies in Aquaria. Danta was unable to recover and lost the race.

During the Crassic League, Danta raced CrystalFissure in an epic Spyro 2 True Pacifism race to collect 25 orbs from local NPCs (no Hunter or Professor) and collect half of all gems from each level you visit, unless the level has spring or supercharge where they can instead leave through the exit portal, and end on Bone Dance. Danta was successful in this race and moved onto the Crassic Finals as a result.

The Crassic Final was originally intended to be Danta racing TK, LukeRF44 and TooneySA in a Spyro 2 Japanese ISGP race. Danta and TK had both done non-live recordings of their run before Luke and Tooney dropped out. Despite TK seemingly getting the better time, the race was repurposed into a triple threat between Danta, TK and g4video (the current Crassic Champion at the time) due to half of the racers dropping out. The race is a medley of all three Classic games.
