Spyro Speedruns Cup (2021) Road to World Tag League (2021)

The ISGP 3rd Anniversary Event was a speedrunning event promoted by the International Spyro Grand Prix (ISGP), co-chaired by CrystalFissure and Nintendogen64. It was scheduled to take place after the Spyro Speedruns Cup (2021), and would feature championship and contender matches for the titles sanctioned by ISGP.

Background

The main event of the ISGP 3rd Anniversary event is set to feature the current ISGP Champion, MuddyMaestro, defending his title against the Number 1 Contender, Yogamoanyo. After a very successful campaign in the Spyro Speedruns Cup and a memorable run as one half of the ISGP Tag Team Champions, Yogamoanyo cemented his number 1 contender status by defeating MuddyMaestro in a non-title Spyro the Dragon exhibition speedrun. After losing this match, Muddy elected to defend his title against Yogamoanyo and after the hosts agreed, the match was ultimately signed as the main event of the 3rd Anniversary event.

In the semi-main event, the ISGP Chairmen and Hosts, CrystalFissure and Nintendogen64 will do battle over the ISGP Exhibition Championship. Though originally billed as an amicable, low stakes exhibition race between the two tag team partners became a championship encounter after CrystalFissure captured the ISGP Exhibition title. Now the two will face off for both the title and ultimate host bragging rights.

Back at the Spyro Speedruns Cup Supercard the returning KnightNC defeated Al Molloy in a Double Return Handsome Battle that also determined the number 1 contender to the Crassic Speedrunning Championship. The current champion, Marcus Terry-Bedford, who has held the title since SPYRO KINGDOM (2021) was able to successfully defend against Emily Dixon back at the Spyro Speedruns Cup Supercard and will now go into the 3rd Anniversary as the defending champion.

In trios action, the Crassic Trios Champions, Seethe Harbor (Daniel Davidson, DantaFanta and DessertMonkeyJK) are scheduled to make their first defense of the championship as they take on the challenger team of Pythagoras' Angles (Alice Clarke, Amelia Kuchel and CharmedSky. Pythagroas' Angles were finally able to defeat Death Triangle at the Spyro Speedruns Cup Supercard to claim the number 1 contendership status to the Crassic Trios Championship.

At tag team match featuring the Crosstown Boys (MrGamesendy and Lucas Bolton) versus Team Randall (Fromond and James Jones) has also been signed for the 3rd Anniversary Event. After no-showing the entirety of the Spyro Speedruns Cup, Fomond's status as a member of Death Triangle was put on notice. After several unimpressive performances along with addition of James Jones as a full-time member of the team, CrystalFissure and Nintendogen64 made a decision - if Fromond was unable to prove that he was "good at Spyro now" he would be permanently kicked out of Death Triangle. Stepping up to the challenge of testing Fromond's ability are 2/3rds of the Crosstown Boys (MrGamesendy and Lucas Bolton).

In the opening match, Al Molloy and Xindictive will face off to determine the #1 Contender to the Crassic Speedrunning Championship. This is due to be the first singles match between the pair in 10 years.
